The system & people
How does SSW differ from technical intern training?
Technical intern training is intended for skills transfer; SSW addresses workforce shortages. Duties and transfer rules differ. Technical interns may transfer in specified circumstances, and SSW job changes require the relevant residence procedures.
Which sectors are covered?
Sector policies cover 19 fields. Actual eligibility depends on duties, regulations, available tests and workplace requirements. See the guide and official information, including implementation dates for new fields.
Will communication in Japanese be manageable?
A test level alone does not establish workplace communication skills. We consider the language and terminology needed, interviews, ongoing study and clear instructions. You can discuss prioritizing N3 or higher candidates, including N2 applicants.
Why recruit from Myanmar?
Our Myanmar and Japan teams can coordinate recruitment, preparation and support after arrival. We assess individual aspirations and suitability rather than assuming ability or personality from nationality.
Terms, costs & preparation
How should employment terms and pay be set?
Check full-time and other SSW employment requirements, with remuneration at least equivalent to Japanese workers performing comparable duties. Direct employment is the general rule, with dispatch arrangements allowed in some sectors. Check the relevant sector requirements.
What costs should we budget for?
Budget separately for placement, residence-procedure expenses, monthly support, optional services, travel and housing. The fees page explains scope and when charges arise.
Are refunds available for early departures?
The placement contract specifies eligible reasons, time limits and refund rates in advance. Review the exact terms before signing.
What should employers prepare before placement?
Prepare housing, essentials and utilities, trainers, work procedures and accessible explanations. Confirm the support plan, documents, cost allocation and responsibilities before arrival and work begins.
Support & coordination
What is a registered support organization? Can an employer provide support itself?
A registered support organization carries out an SSW (i) support plan on behalf of an employer. Eligible employers may provide support themselves. The scope delegated to Nagani Japan is agreed according to the employer’s capacity and needs.
What distinguishes Nagani Japan’s approach?
Connected group support from sending to life in Japan, with attention to dialogue and training. The representative’s ten years in consulting and manufacturing also inform optional workplace-readiness support.
How do standard support and optional services differ?
Standard support follows the required support plan. Workplace improvement, training manuals, staff training and additional individual conversations are optional services with an agreed scope. Consultation required under the standard plan is not simply treated as an extra.
How do you coordinate with sending teams and language schools?
Nagani International Partners’ sending operation and Nagani Japan share job requirements, candidate goals, learning progress and travel preparation. Schools receive job and language goals, linking preparation with support after arrival.
